It's been over a month since I've dropped a line down on this blog, which is kind of ironic because we have SO much wonderful madness brewing up right now. I want to give a shout out to everyone who has been out there dropping a line, sharing a tune and supporting the music over the past couple of months, you are all the bees' knees and you make the whole starving-artist thing all worth it. We are grateful to all of the radio hosts who've been giving us spins and spreading the word, especially Aimsel Ponti, Charlie Gaylord, and Matty B of WCLZ, WBLM and WZER, respectively.
So what the Hell HAVE we been up to? Creating circus posters, collecting 1930s accouterments, following Wet Plate Collodian Photographer--Scott Anton's ventures, training my horses to do tricks, painting carousel horses, auditioning Boa Constrictors and rounding up about 20 or so rousties for an overnight excursion in the middle of nowhere....we just might be building a circus.
I'll be making a last-minute drop-in to WEZR Auburn this coming Monday the 21st at 7AM for The Breakfast Club with Matty Z and will have a very special announcement to make. We will be launching a one-of-a-kind collaborative and artistic music video that has been under wraps for the past month or so. I am going to tell you how you can be a part of it. So, if you're conscious at 7am, tune in and find out how you can get in on a one-of-a-kind venture with Portland performance artists, a 1930's circus, a wet-plate photographer, some real live trick ponies and so much more.
We'll be updating our WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS page as the unveiling nears and will also be posting updates on our Facebook Page.
So stay tuned and keep in touch! You are going to want to see this.
I am absolutely bursting at the seams and can't wait to let you know what we've got under our hats (so to say). Until then...abssynia!
